For those who are seeking to apply to register as a training organisation, amend their registration or who wish to submit an application for the accreditation of courses. Consultants can also provide assistance to registered training organisations (RTOs) for continuous improvement activities.

What qualifications/experience do RTO consultants have?

RTO consultants are self-identified. There is no formal qualification for a VET consultant that is required by any of the governing RTO bodies.

Do I need to engage an RTO consultant?

The engagement of an RTO consultant is optional and their selection is at the discretion of yourself. Regulatory bodies do not require those applying to become RTOs to engage consultants and do not provide any guarantee that organisations that engage the services of consultants will be successful in their applications to the Training and Employment Recognition Council.

What should I pay a consultant?

There is no one body that sets fees for consultants' services. You must negotiate fees, which will be determined commercially.
